Power oscillation damping control using PI-neuron network controller for distributed generator grid connection with MVDC

Distributed generator (DG) connection to the system with DC grid called medium voltage direct current (MVDC) has received attention and gradually integrated into distribution grid. The linear controller, such as PI usually uses MVDC control for power oscillation damping. controller is limited does not show satisfactory results when load parameters of itself are changed. This paper proposes neuron network (NN) a feed-forward (PINNF) improve DG MVDC. proposed PINNF applied Since NN can estimate proper signals in each situation system, performs better than conventional controller. effectiveness validated using nonlinear dynamic simulations on MATLAB/Simulink program. Four case tests presented discussed this paper. Results indicate improvement damping stability performance
